Social Media Manager and Global Marketing

Openings: 2

Description and Requirements to Apply

This position is an ALL VOLUNTEER role. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteer assistance to meet the mission requirements the organization has set. 

To apply, you must meet these requirements >

Be atleast 18 years of age.

Provide your CV of past work in marketing and social media management

Send our digital message to all in a visually, creative and compelling way that convey’s our mission and objectives through the digital space.

Provide information on social media trolls, defamation posts, or other site term violations to cyber security specialists within IMMCS Cyber Security & Legal Operations Department.

Not had any prior convictions in the past 5 years.

You Will Help To:

  • Manage social media pages and publish content (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram)
  • Publish posts, create graphics and inform internal operations of optimal engagement methods or approaches
  • Publish Articles on the website and provide updates to the public on wildlife poaching crimes and internal changes (limited internal site user access)
  • Increase reach and increase field work through effective engagement solutions.

Cyber Security Specialist and Digital Intelligence Officer

Description and Requirements to Apply

This position is an ALL VOLUNTEER role. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteer assistance to meet the mission requirements the organization has set. 

To apply, you must meet these requirements >

Be atleast 25 years of age.

Monitor the organizations online security, digital presence, threats to IMMCS units and conduct intelligence against illegal fishing and whaling operations.

Create, monitor and add known or suspected violators to a blacklist (including ships used for illegal activities) and impose a security grade to them to ensure future operations account for specific threats or actions encountered previously through social media or other intelligence sources.

Not had any prior convictions in the last 5 years.

You Will Help To:

  • Monitor social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram)
  • Monitor and inform internal operations of optimal engagement methods or approaches to known cyber threats.
  • Monitor users of IMMCS channels to locate known and suspected violations to IMMCS policies.

Fisheries Enforcement Officer

Openings: Unlimited

Description and Requirements to Apply

This position is an ALL VOLUNTEER role. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteer assistance to meet the mission requirements the organization has set. 

To apply, you must meet these requirements >

Be atleast 18 years of age.

Have prior military experience (all branches) or otherwise be willing to undergo the required training

Not had any prior convictions in the last 5 years.

You Will Help To

  • Intercept illegal fishing, whaling and other non-compliant vessels
  • Operate advanced technologies for anti-poaching
  • Conduct Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) (high seas citizens arrest)
  • Document activities on campaigns
  • Check licenses on fishing vessels and ensure catch is legal and compliant with all rules and regulations
  • Conduct covert operations to defend wildlife when called upon
  • Help with environmental research and ocean cleanup campaigns (plastic, ghost nets and other marine debris removal operations)
  • Confront armed and un-armed poachers and environmental criminals wherever they may operate (you will be provided with the proper gear for deployment to negate specific threats when intervening against illegal activities)
  • And there is still plenty more work that you could be called upon to undertake to ensure that wherever we fly, sail and operate – that the poaching stops. 

We can’t possibly fit everything you would do in the field on this list, but these will give you an idea of the work.

Graphic Designer and Media Editor

This position is an ALL VOLUNTEER role. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteer assistance to meet the mission requirements the organization has set.

Not had any prior convictions in the last 5 years.

You Will Help To

  • Create graphics, campaign logo’s, info-graphics with data from campaigns.
  • Create videos from footage
  • Create compelling, informative and interactive content and digital work for the website
  • Create artwork and designs for products that will help fund conservation campaigns in the IMMCS E-Store.
